Nestled between a million acres of national park and 57 miles of wilderness coastline, Forks is the heart of the Olympic Peninsula's "West End". Fish the clean, fast running rivers, hike the many beach trails, or experience the only temperate rainforests in the northern hemisphere. Watch whales, eagles or elk, or cast a line for salmon, trout or steelhead. The year-round Visitor Information Center is adjacent to the Forks Timber Museum where displays of logging, pioneer life and coastal Indian history are featured, open April through October. Don't miss the Rainfest in April, the Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration, and Hickory Shirt and Heritage Days in early October.
At La Push, home of the Quileute Indians, are beautiful sandy beaches and rocky shores for driftwood and agates, hiking along beach trails, swimming and sport fishing. There are two main resorts located on the beach in La Push. Zip Code: La Push 98350.
